The championship is the main wheelchair basketball competition in Europe. The official organiser of the contest is British Wheelchair Basketball as well as IWBF Europe, Tauron Poland and Krakow Direct.

It’s worth adding that the competition is a qualifying contest for the IWBF’s (International Wheelchair Basketball Federation, 1973) Wheelchair Basketball World Championships. Though this year the championship takes place in Poland which is rather small country, there are over 50 teams fighting for the gold.

Regarding the locations The Championship’s gonna take place in the city of Krakow at the Tauron Arena. Only 2 sessions of games will be held at the National Statium in Warsaw, but generally the whole event takes place in Krakow. It seems the Tauron Arena is just a perfect place for such heaping giving it’s great space, high-tech facilities and all different facilities in general.

No many places of this kind nearby has more then 3000 seats – Tauron Arena does. Firstly they’re gonna run men’s Championship. Each nation will be playing against each other. It’s gonna be a hot time for Poland. Krakow is not a big city so when the fans come the streets will be really crowded. Well, such is the Championship atmosphere!
